WORLD BELLYBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS
05 SEPTEMBER 2010

 Now into its eighth consecutive year, the World Bellyboarding Championship is held on the first Sunday in September.

Organised and hosted by the National Trust, it is a celebration of all things connected with the art of riding traditional wooden boards. Hundreds of people of all ages descend on the beautiful beach of Chapel Porth to compete in this event. No wetsuits are allowed and 1920's style swimsuits are recommended for this true family fun event.

ST IVES SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL

 Live music, live theatre, dance, art, talks, poetry, comedy and cinema is packed into a 15 day festival which centres in and around this beautiful seaside town. With artists and visitors from all over the world attending this years promises to be as engaging as ever.

CELEBRATING 75 YEARS

Sitting in front of St Michael's Mount and celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, a stunning art deco pool, it is one of the oldest and largest seawater pools in Britain. Built upon a traditional bathing spot at the Battery Rocks near the harbour in Penzance the pool's curved edges are said to resemble a constructivist  seagull.
